100BaseT

Notes:

From Ethernet - The Definitive Guide

All 100Base standards use 4B/5B encoding. The UTP standard sends at 125 Mbaud, three signal levels on copper (multi-level threshold-3 [MLT-3]) at zero to plus/minus 1V differential. The additional symbols available in the 4B/5B with MLT-3 are used to carry additional control signals link "IDLE", "JAM", etc. TIA/EIA Category 5 cable is required to avoid cross-talk and attenuation problems, even within standard lengths.
